Rules & Regulations

Welcome to golfbattleground.com. By booking a tee time or entering the property, all players and guests agree to follow the course rules and regulations outlined below. These rules are in place to protect the course, ensure safety, and provide a fair and enjoyable experience for everyone.

1. General Conduct

  • All players must check in at the golf shop before proceeding to the first tee.
  • Respect all staff, guests, and fellow players at all times. Abusive, threatening, or offensive behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Follow all posted signage and staff instructions while on the property.
  • Only food and beverage purchased from the facility may be consumed on the course, unless otherwise approved by management.
  • Pets are not permitted on the course or practice areas unless specifically allowed for an event or required as service animals.

2. Tee Times & Check-In

  • Players must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled tee time.
  • Groups must start on the first tee unless otherwise directed by staff.
  • Groups that arrive late may forfeit their tee time or be moved to the next available time at management’s discretion.
  • All players in a group must have their own set of clubs.
  • Maximum of four players per group unless specifically approved by the golf shop.

3. Pace of Play

  • The expected pace of play is 4 hours 15 minutes for 18 holes, unless otherwise posted.
  • Keep up with the group in front of you. If you fall behind and are delaying play, you may be asked to skip a hole or move ahead.
  • Play “ready golf” when it is safe to do so.
  • Limit ball searches to 3 minutes.
  • Leave carts and bags on the side of the green in the direction of the next tee.

4. Course Care

  • Repair all ball marks on greens and tap down spike marks carefully.
  • Replace or fill all divots with provided sand/seed mix.
  • Rake bunkers after use and place rakes back in the designated position.
  • Do not drive carts or pull trolleys between bunkers and greens or on teeing surfaces.
  • Dispose of trash and recycling in appropriate containers; do not litter on the course.

5. Safety

  • Before swinging, ensure that players, staff, and guests are at a safe distance.
  • Do not hit until the group ahead is out of range.
  • Yell “Fore!” for any errant shot that may endanger others.
  • Obey all warnings related to lightning, severe weather, course maintenance, and construction areas.
  • Do not retrieve balls from private property, environmentally sensitive areas, or water hazards where prohibited.

6. Golf Cart & Trolley Rules

  • Only licensed drivers may operate power carts.
  • Maximum of two riders and two golf bags per cart.
  • Observe all cart path signs, directional stakes, and roped-off areas.
  • Keep carts at least 30 feet from greens and tees unless on a designated path.
  • Do not operate carts recklessly, on steep slopes, or in restricted areas.
  • Any damage to carts or course property caused by negligence may be charged to the player responsible.

7. Practice Areas

  • Use only designated practice areas for warm-up and instruction.
  • Driving range balls are to remain on the range and may not be taken onto the course.
  • Follow all posted signs indicating hitting zones and target areas.
  • Cease practice immediately if instructed to do so by staff.

8. Dress Code

  • Golf-appropriate attire is required on the course and practice areas.
  • Men: Collared shirts or appropriate golf tops; no cut-off shorts or tank tops.
  • Women: Golf shirts, blouses, or appropriate tops and bottoms designed for golf.
  • Soft-spike or spikeless golf shoes are required. Metal spikes are not permitted.
  • Management reserves the right to determine what is considered appropriate attire.

9. Alcohol, Tobacco & Controlled Substances

  • Alcoholic beverages may only be consumed if purchased through the facility, in accordance with local laws.
  • No outside alcohol is permitted on the property.
  • Smoking and vaping are allowed only in designated areas, subject to local ordinances.
  • Illegal drugs and controlled substances are strictly prohibited.
  • Players who appear intoxicated or impaired may be removed from the course without refund.

10. Weather Delays & Suspensions of Play

  • In the event of dangerous weather (including lightning), play may be suspended by the course.
  • When sirens, horns, or staff instructions indicate a suspension of play, players must immediately stop play and seek shelter.
  • Decisions regarding refunds, rain checks, or rescheduling will be made by management according to the current policy.

11. Liability & Enforcement

  • Players are responsible for any personal injury or property damage resulting from their actions on the course.
  • golfbattleground.com and course management are not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.
  • Management reserves the right to remove any player or group from the course for violating these rules, with or without refund.
  • Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension of playing privileges.
